Kinesiology, as a scientific field, examines the anatomy and mechanics of the body's movement. This major offers students preparation for a wide host of career and training options.

The kinesiology major offers three emphases:

• Exercise Science
• Health Fitness
• Secondary Teaching

The exercise science emphasis is primarily for those students who desire to continue their education at the graduate level. The health fitness emphasis is for students who desire to pursue a career in the fitness industry. The secondary teaching emphasis is for students who desire to teach physical education in a single-subject setting.
