Spanish Language & Culture

The Spanish language, though in various dialects, is spoken across the country and throughout the world. Thus, a deep understanding of this language and the cultures from which it originates is a vital part of a global perspective, and is of value in a wide range of professions.

Distinctive Features

While many Spanish programs focus solely on the language, the Spanish language and culture major at FPU offers a choice of focus through two emphases:

For students whose primary language is Spanish, and for students who have studied Spanish in Latin America or Spain and speak the language fluently, a personalized major or minor may be discussed with the program director.

Career Opportunities

The Spanish language and culture major offers graduates tools that can be used in almost any profession, in this country or beyond. The widespread influence of Spanish demands professionals in all fields-marketing, educations, community leadership, ministry and much, much more!
