Successful managers understand the functioning components of their organization: employees, production, customer needs, operational needs, etc. The bachelor of arts degree in business administration with an emphasis in management/organizational studies provides graduates with a deep understanding of these core components.

This emphasis examines the relationships that are formed in organizations and equips graduates with the skills required for effective communication and personnel management. Optional courses discuss international business, organizational development, operations research and nonprofit management.

Graduates with this emphasis are prepared for placement and advancement in organizations of any size and are candidates for management positions, supervising operations, human resources, development-in for-profit businesses as well as nonprofits.
