Kinesiology - Health Fitness Emphasis
With the rapid growth in the sport and fitness industry, health fitness professionals are in high demand. The health fitness emphasis offers students a solid foundation of knowledge, qualifying graduates for entry into a wide variety of occupations. Flexible course options allow some students to prepare for a career in sports and athletic training, while others prepare for professions in fitness and healthcare.
Distinctive Features
The health fitness emphasis offers a personal trainer certification course, designed by the National Council on Strength and Fitness to qualify students for work as personal trainers. Students who successfully complete the major and certification course will receive the Advanced Personal Trainer certification through the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
