Designated Subject Electives

These courses are offered for candidates in the designated subjects teaching credential program: adult education, vocational education, or supervision and coordination through the Fresno County Office of Education.

3. Complete the paper registration form (if this is your first FPU course) or register online if you have received your CampusCruiser ID.


4. Include payment with your paper registration form or call the FPU Cashier's Office at 559-453-5586.

Registration forms and class schedules require the latest version of Adobe Reader, which is available for free download from the Adobe website.

University Policies

  • Application: First Time Registrant
  • The simple application form allows us to have the information we need from you to generate official transcripts at the completion of your courses. You need apply only once; you may register for as many courses as you like.
  • Registration Policies
  • Only individuals who are registered a minimum of 7 days in advance and have paid the tuition may attend class. You may pay at the time of registration by check, by credit card or by calling the FPU Cashier's Office.
    • Deadline: Registration deadline is 7 calendar days before the course begins.
  • Drops and Refunds
  • A course drop form must be completed to drop a class, receive a refund, and not receive a failing grade. Students are responsible to drop courses they do not intend to complete. The university does not administratively drop DSE students for non-attendance. If more than half the DSE sessions have been held, there will be no refund. “No-Show” students will be charged full tuition. The complete drop policy is found in the university catalog.
  • Tuition
  • Tuition is $100 per unit. (Beginning August 1, 2009, tuition will increase to $115 per unit.) DSE courses range from 1 to 3 units.
  • Class Changes
  • Rooms, courses and instructors are subject to change without notice. Check the website the day your class begins.
  • Transcripts
  • Transcripts may be requested after grades have been verified by the Registrar's Office, typically three weeks after the last class session. Transcript request instructions may be found here.
  • Supervision and Coordination Courses
  • Directed studies are available for the supervision and coordination courses (DSE 365 and DSE 370). Complete a Special Course Registration form.
