Activities at FPU:
Playing volleyball here has taught me life lessons. When I was a freshman, I remember our coach saying that there is more to life than volleyball. I didn't understand what he was saying back then, but I do now. After volleyball is over, I will still have the experiences, the friendships and the things I've learned from being a part of this team - like being committed, always giving 100%, enduring hardships and thinking of others first.
Why I chose FPU:
One of the reasons I chose FPU was because it is a Christian university. I knew I would not only be living in a positive environment and learning more about God, but I would have a Christian emphasis in my major. My professors help me apply my Christianity to what I'm learning and teach me to relate my faith to different issues in business.
How I've been challenged academically:
Balancing classes with volleyball is challenging, but our coaches emphasize that academics come first. Having small classes where my professors know me and care about me personally keeps me accountable and provides support.
