This course builds a foundation for teaching and understanding money concepts. The activities in this course offer experiences in which students will: 1) identify and compare the values of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half-dollars, and one-dollar coins and bills; 2) determine combinations of coins for equivalent values; 3) distinguish between the quantity of coins and their values; and 4) use coins in problem solving, real life situations.
