This course meets the needs of those teachers who wish to extend their understanding and application of providing alternative experiences for the reluctant learner to prepare them for the California High School Exit Exam. It provides guided opportunity for implementation and sustained use of hands-on experiences in a classroom setting. The course provides hands-on lessons directly correlated to the standards tested by the CAHSEE. The lessons are designed to develop meaning and understanding in four math strands: Number Sense, Measurement and Geometry, Algebra and Functions, Statistics, Data Analysis, and Probability. This course requires student participation.
