This course provides experiences for teachers who wish to help K-1 students explore and discover their five senses. It also enables teachers to reflect upon their teaching practices, resulting in better classroom applications and increased benefits to students. Throughout the course the activities cause the students to become aware that they use their senses to explore their surroundings and themselves; that most often, senses are used in conjunction with each other; that sensory perceptions can stimulate emotions and feelings; and that different senses provide different information. This course requires student participation.
