This online course will help teachers discover how to support deeper understanding of foundational algebraic concepts in grades 6-8. Teachers will explore growth patterns and functions, variables, linear relationships, and coordinate graphs. Based on the included text and research-based journal articles, teachers will design and implement a unit of grade-level appropriate algebraic thinking activities with their students.
