A married student should add about $3000 for a non-student spouse and each child (this includes health insurance costs for a spouse and child which are significantly higher than $750).

Graduate - Master of Arts

Financial Aid and Scholarships
Financial aid is available to students who have applied and been accepted into a program. Financial assistance for Language and Culture Studies and graduate students is limited.  Because financial assistance from the U.S. government is not available to international students, other funding is available through Fresno Pacific University.

Scholarship available to LCS certificate students:
  • Church Match (up to $1,500 per year)
Scholarships available to undergraduate students:
  • Performance scholarships (music, athletic)
  • Academic scholarships ($5,500 - $8,500)
  • Other ($500 - $1,500)
  • Mennonite Brethren Scholarship - for students from MB churches only (up to $8,000)
Scholarships available to graduate students:
  • Church Match (up to $1,500 per year)
  • Performance scholarships (music, athletic)
  • Graduate Grant ($500)
  • Other ($500 - $1,500)

Fresno Pacific University values the diversity that international students bring to our campus. Because we understand that funding your education can be challenging, we will do everything we can to make it possible for you to attend.

The International Programs and Services Office will work together with you and Financial Student Services to create your own personal scholarship package. Scholarship packages are specially designed for each individual student according to the information provided on the application and the Affidavit of Support. These packages may be comprised of one or several different awards based on merit and need. Scholarships are not guaranteed!!

Sponsors
Many international students find sponsors through their own personal contacts and/or various organizations to help fund their tuition and living expenses. We encourage you to look for financial sources such as these.

On-campus work
International students are only allowed to work for Fresno Pacific University. Openings for on-campus jobs are advertised in the Career Services Center, not on-line.  Employment is limited and NOT guaranteed. Each student must apply and possibly interview to get a job. Students should not plan to make a lot of money from on-campus work. Minimum wage is $8.00 per hour. Students may work up to 20 hours a week while school is in session and 40 hours a week during vacations.

English language students are likely to get jobs in the cafeteria, gardening, cleaning or maintenance.
