Meet the IPSO & IELP Directors and Student Staff
Arnie Prieb, Director of International Programs & Services Office
Arnie was born and raised in Congo, Africa. His parents served as missionaries there for 30 years. He completed his B.A. in biblical studies at Fresno Pacific University and obtained an M.A. in world mission at Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary. He has served as director of Hartland Christian Camp in the Sierras, director of recruitment at MBBS and as associate director of admissions at Fresno Pacific University's Center for Degree Completion.
Chandra Johnson, Director of Intensive English Language Program & School of Humanities, Religion & Social Sciences Faculty
Chandra earned her M.A. in TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Fresno Pacific University and has taught in the Intensive English Language Program since 1998. In 2007 she became the director of the IELP at FPU. In addition to teaching at FPU, Chandra has worked and traveled in South Korea, China, Thailand, Lithuania and Canada. She likes learning about other cultures from her students and enjoys helping people to learn English.

Oxana Jomiru, International Admissions Student Counselor
Oxana is a junior from Chisinau, Moldova. Her major is intercultural studies with a minor in languages. She is a member of the FPU Crosswind choir and International Club. She enjoys studying and teaching languages as well as working with children. Her goal is to obtain a career in international programs, teach English to speakers of other languages and later develop programs for Christian Summer camps in Moldova. She speaks Russian, Romanian, English and some Spanish.
Hoa Nguyen, International Admissions Student Counselor
Hoa is a sophomore from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Her major is business administration with emphases in finance and marketing. Her educational goal after graduating with a B.A. from FPU is to continue graduate studies at UC Berkeley. She wishes to go back to Vietnam and obtain a career in the banking system. She enjoys studying and working with different people and wants to help others.
