Board Certified Behavior Analyst(BCBA) Certificate
The BCBA certificate program prepares individuals to assist people in learning new behaviors, increasing or reducing existing behaviors, and teaching when to use specific behaviors in specific instances. The scope of these services ranges from addressing challenging behaviors of one person to changing the behavior of an entire organization, school or school-community.
Highlights:
- Courses offered in Fresno or Visalia
- Flexible schedule for both returning part-time professionals and traditional full-time students
- Two levels of certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst(BCBA) and Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst(BCABA)
- Courses approved by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing(CCTC) and Behavior Analyst Certification Board(BACB)
What can I do with this certificate?
- Those with a BCBA certificate can work as an independent practitioner or as an employee or independent contractor for an organization. They asses behavior, evaluate results, and develop and implement strategies for making behavior changes across a wide variety of settings.
- Those with a BCABA certificate work under the supervision of a BCBA and provide services in assessing and modifying behaviors across a more limited scope of settings.
- This program is especially valuable for individuals pursuing their master's in school counseling and/or school psychology because of the increasing demand in these fields for expertise in the development of systematic individual behavior support plans within the school setting.
