Master of Arts in School Counseling
This master's degree offers academic classroom training partnered with applied field experience with children and adolescents in area schools and other agencies. It is designed to develop thorough knowledge and understanding of the most appropriate strategies and techniques to develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive counseling and guidance program in any school environment.

What can I do with this master's degree?
- This degree prepares graduates to teach or practice counseling at the agency, community college or post-secondary levels. Graduates are also encouraged to become student advocates and engage in the social action necessary to ensure all students equitable access to counseling and guidance.

When can I start?
- The program is designed so that all students move through the program as a cohort. Classes begin in the fall of each year. To be considered for a fall cohort, the deadline for submission of all admission material is in early April. Prerequisite courses and test requirements must be completed before formal admission is granted.
