Loan Forgiveness Options

Assumption Program of Loans for Education (APLE) - Students may have a minimum of $11,000 in outstanding student loans forgiven over four years of full-time teaching in a designated high need area. The priority deadline is June 25 with a rolling deadline throughout the year until the program is full. Applications are available here.

Federal Direct Loan Forgiveness Program - Students may have $5,000 or more in outstanding Direct Loan balance forgiven for teaching full-time for five years in a low-income school. For more information click here.
