Finding Your True North

The School of Business at Fresno Pacific University presents a dynamic discussion with one of the most renowned and respected business experts, named one of the “Top 25 Business Leaders of the Past 25 Years” by PBS.
Bill George is professor of management practice at Harvard Business School. He is the former chairman and CEO of Medtronic. Earlier in his career he was a senior executive with Honeywell and Litton Industries and served in the U.S. Department of Defense. He was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2012. George currently serves as a director of ExxonMobil, Goldman Sachs and the Mayo Clinic; is a trustee of the World Economic Forum USA; and a member of the Georgia Tech Advisory Board. He has also served as a trustee of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Novartis and Target Corporation.
George has been named Executive of the Year-2001 by the Academy of Management and Director of the Year-2001-02 by the National Association of Corporate Directors. He is a contributor for CNBC and has made frequent appearances on television and radio. His articles have appeared in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Fortune and Harvard Business Review.
