Personal Experiences

A notable library activity during my school library tenure was the circulation of a petition among middle school students which eventuated in the production of a major motion picture of S.E. Hinton's book The Outsiders by Francis Coppola. We, Lone Star students and myself, were allowed to read the first screenplay and were influential in getting the story "right" for the screen.
