Education
Share why you teach at FPU
As a graduate of Fresno Pacific University I have profound respect for this institution. I have experienced the best of Fresno Pacific University including the rigorous academic program, Christian values and unmatched sense of community throughout the university. Serving as a faculty member within the university allows me the opportunity to interact with adult learners and prepare them to educate students with special needs. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow with the students, faculty, staff and community with which I am blessed to serve.
Scholarly Interests
In the upcoming year I will enroll in a doctoral degree program to study education. My scholarly interests include educational leadership, curriculum and instruction. It is with great anticipation that I continue my educational journey through research and service.
Professional and Service Experience
I attended Fresno Pacific University as a graduate student and earned my master's degree in special education. My career in education began as a high school intern special education teacher. After obtaining my education specialist mild/moderate credential, I served in the roles of special education teacher, department chairperson and assessment specialist at the high school level. I chose at that point in my career to expand my perspective by serving as a high school vice principal. My most recent position prior to moving to Fresno Pacific University was to serve as a middle school principal.
