Historical note

The Constitution Committee of the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches is called into existence for the purpose of revising the General Conference constitution. Such committees have existed fromm 1930-1936, 1945-1963, and 1975-1978.

Scope and content note

This record group includes minutes (1953-1963) and correspondence (1950-1964) of the Constitution Committee that served from 1945 until 1963. No records from the Constitution Committees of the 1930s or 1970s are found in this record group.
