Historical note

At its 1948 sessions, the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches elected a Seminary Commission to "consider and study the practical aspect of an M.B. seminary." This commission issued a report in 1951 recommending the creation of a Mennonite Brethren seminary, after which it disbanded.
