Historical note

The Ad Hoc Evangelism Committee was established in 1974 following the International Congress on World Evangelization in Lausanne, Switzerland, by Mennonite Brethren individuals interested in the promotion of evangelistic work within the Mennonite Brethren Church. Though it was not an official General Conference organization, it has been assigned a General Conference record group number because it drew its membership from individuals in both the United States and Canada.

Scope and content note

This record group contains minutes from a meeting on August 21, 1974 and several documents compiled for the committee by Henry J. Schmidt in 1980.
