Historical note

The Council of Boards, formed in 1990, consists of all board members of the General Conference. It met annually for reporting and consultation and functions as the General Conference in interim. The Council of Boards ceased to exist with the divestiture of the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches in 2002.
