More than 100 area ministry leaders attended the 28:19 Evangelism Conference co-sponsored by the Fresno Pacific University Office of Spiritual Formation, the Angelos Biblical Institute and the Baptist Pastors Conference of Fresno and Central California.

The conference took place July 30 at Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary on the main FPU campus, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave., Fresno. Adult and youth tracks taught participants how to effectively evangelize in today’s urban culture.

According to the conference purpose statement: “One of the most neglected tasks of the church today is that of the evangelism. Thousands upon thousands are lost and on their way to a burning eternity with no escape. As the hands and feet of Christ we are called to pull these souls from the fire, there is a great urgency for this mission.”

“The essentials of our evangelism conference was designed to encourage and equip the church to evangelize, and minister to the hurting needs of those around them,” said Angulus Wilson, Ph.D., university pastor and dean of spiritual formation. “This conference introduced practical methods of evangelism and team oriented ministry for the local church.”
