Ryan Schellenberg, Ph.D., assistant professor of biblical and religious studies, has published a book with the Society of Biblical Literature.
Rethinking Paul's Rhetorical Education: Comparative Rhetoric and 2 Corinthians 10-13 explores whether Paul had formal training in Greco-Roman rhetoric, or learned what he knew of persuasion informally. Founded in 1880 and based in Atlanta, GA, the Society of Biblical Literature is the oldest and largest international learned society devoted to the critical investigation of the Bible from a variety of academic disciplines.
