“Jesus is our Peace” is the name and theme of the 2015 Advent devotional from Fresno Pacific University Biblical Seminary. The daily meditations are by a circle of writers including Terry Brensinger, dean of the seminary and Fresno Pacific University vice president; FPU President Richard Kriegbaum; and seminary and university faculty, alumni and students.

“We understand that life is often difficult and seemingly unfair, but we believe that in Christ we are people with a bright and eternal future,” writes Brensinger in his introduction. “We are, once again, people of hope.”

The devotional will be available online for download now at fpu.edu/advent, and through an Android app on the Google Play store.

Readings begin November 28 and continues through Epiphany. The final devotional, January 6, comes on the founding date of the Mennonite Brethren Church.

The seminary has offered an Advent devotional since 2008 as a thank you to supporters and as a resource for USMB congregations and individuals. The devotional seeks to provide spiritual nurture in a commercialized time through daily attention to God and his word. Followers of Jesus are transformed and refocused when contemplating his person and work, and this transformation must be vital and continuing.
