Faculty in Chemistry

Full-time (will consider ¾ time), with faculty rank; continuing status track; 9-month faculty appointment in the School of Natural Sciences

Start Date:

August 2013; appointment made as soon as a suitable candidate is discerned.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach lower and upper level chemistry courses;  
  • Mentor and advise chemistry students, as well as general education students;
  • Serve on institutional committees;
  • Develop scholarship track that promotes student research.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ph.D. in appropriate field;
  • Experience in, or aptitude for, college-level teaching;
  • Record or promise of scholarly achievement;
  • Commitment to the Christian faith and the university’s mission of Christ-centered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church.

Compensation:

Dependent on qualifications and experience, and paid out over 12 months. Full-time benefits include insurance (medical, vision, dental, LTD), retirement (TIAA-CREF), Section 125 options.
