Bakersfield, this RN to BSN program is just for you!
The bachelor of science in nursing would prepare those who hold an associate degree in nursing to become leaders in their profession. Classes strengthen clinical decision making based on critical thinking skills and broaden students' academic foundation. Participants also learn about community and public health nursing and nursing research processes. Leadership instruction includes conflict management. This program prepares students for graduate study in nursing.

Admissions Requirements
- Completed application form and $40 fee (fee waived if you attend an information meeting)
- All application pieces, official transcripts, recommendation form and admissions essay
- Minimum 2.4 GPA
- Minimum 60 transferable baccalaureate level units
- Active nursing license or proof of application for California registered nursing license
- Proof of graduation from community college
- Completion of AS degree in nursing
Courses

- Prerequisite courses within the program: chemistry, statistics and an upper division writing course
- Chemistry must be taken before pathology
- Statistics and the upper division writing course must be taken before nursing research
- Once admitted to the program, all remaining units must be from upper division courses
