Teacher Librarian Services Credential
This credential is designed to expose students to a rich set of experiences that will prepare them for service in school libraries. It is specifically intended to prepare them to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop and implement programs related to curriculum, as well as to select, organize, manage and guide the use of learning resources in all formats. It has been approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is known for educational quality throughout the state and nation.

Admissions Requirements

- Orientation interview with program director
- Statement of intent
- Three references
- Verification of passing the CBEST
- Valid California teaching credential
- Official transcript of BA/BS degree
- Letter of explanation if GPA is under 2.75

Program Details
Those wishing to enter the credential program must hold a valid teaching credential and proof of passing the CBEST. Teaching qualifications are essential and a minimum of three years of successful teaching experience is desirable.

Courses are in the semester format, beginning in the fall (August), spring (January) or summer (May). Online cohorts begin each semester as enrollment dictates.
