The Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics is appropriate for those students who want to focus their energies in the area of applications of mathematics. The B.S. degree is for those students who may seek careers in industry or engineering or may be considering graduate school in the applied sciences. This degree includes a research capstone.

Highlights

  • Small class sizes
  • Emphasis on research
  • Faculty who are experts in their field and who care about their students

Career opportunities

Common careers for applied mathematics majors include industrial engineer, statistician, computer programmer, data analyst and educator. Our graduates are well prepared for graduate-level work, including teacher credential programs and master’s level research programs.
