Scholars Speak connects Fresno Pacific University with communities throughout the Valley by providing articles to local newspapers.
Community newspapers are where people get news they can use to make decisions on the what's important in their city or town. Scholars Speak offers information and interpretation based on research.
Articles are written by faculty and staff members and sent weekly during the school year and monthly during the summer to more than 70 daily and weekly newspapers. Each piece runs 500-750 words and is edited to general news style.
Submissions cover a variety of perspectives, subjects and writing styles. The views expressed are those of the authors, not the official position of the university.
The Scholars Speak program is directed by Rod Janzen, FPU senior scholar. The University Communications Office distributes articles by fax and email.
If you would like to submit an article or discuss an idea for Scholars Speak, please contact Rod Janzen at 453-2210 or rajanzen@fresno.edu
