Kerry Benjamin
Which program did you graduate from and when? I graduated from the BUS 3 program in 2006.
The title of his final project—"University Vineyard Church” (community project). My project looked at programs that could be done through the church to touch the community around it. I looked at a senior activity center, homework tutoring and seminars for college students. They have started tutoring.
Where do you work? I’m a field supervisor at Foster Farms. I work with contract growers for turkeys, doing quality control and management.
Interests: Coaching, church activities, camping and softball.
Favorite book: Experiencing God by Henry T. Blackaby.
Best advice you ever received: Put God first, then everything else will work out.
Favorite business leader: Harvey Mackay, he gives great advice to business professionals.
If you were having a dinner party, who would you invite and why? George W. Bush and his wife, Laura. I would want to ask them about the challenges that they have gone through in the last years and how they coped with them.
Biggest challenge at work: Time management.
What should people know about you? That I have a deep faith in Jesus Christ, and I invest in my family whenever I can.
What advice would you give a student in business today? You can do anything with a business degree. Do not have a narrow view of your career. The job market is looking for employees with a strong work ethic that can work with people. Also, they are looking for people that can make sound decisions after accessing the situation.
