Theater Minor

The theater minor serves as an introduction to theater history, aesthetics and the analysis, criticism, and staging of performance texts. The minor may be integrated with any major, offering students intellectual and experiential resources complementary to such fields as teaching, communication and ministry.

Distinctive Features

The study of history, literature and artistic techniques of theater provides students with an integrated discipline that combines elements of many subjects, since theater employs all art forms to depict an image of life itself.

Career Opportunities

Theater provides preparation in the areas of theater education, communication, public presentation and performance, and arts management, as well as preparation for graduate school, theater ministry or conservatory training.
