The minor in environmental studies is designed to deepen an individual's appreciation of the natural world, teaching each student studying in the program how to exercise greater personal stewardship with regards to the environment.

The environmental studies minor provides students with interdisciplinary perspectives on the natural world and the place of humanity within it. Using insights provided by the disciplines of theology, philosophy and the social and natural sciences, students develop a deeper understanding of environmental problems and solutions.
