FPU's minor in mathematics provides students with a condensed and highly-focused program in mathematics as a complement to other majors, as well as a fulfillment of personal interest.

The mathematics minor may be used to satisfy the California state credentialing requirement for the supplementary authorization in mathematics; students working towards this authorization should consult with the program director to ensure that the proper courses are taken.

While this minor prepares students for advanced study in mathematics, it also helps students expand knowledge and skills in other subject areas, providing a competitive edge in professional careers that require problem solving and analysis.
