Similar to the secondary teaching emphasis of the kinesiology major, this minor prepares students to teach physical education in K-12 schools.

Courses for this minor cover the main topics of the major, as well as elementary and secondary physical education methods. 

The kinesiology secondary teaching minor is designed for students majoring in another area who wish to teach physical education, as well as for those preparing for the single subject California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET).
