Pre-Occupational Therapy
The pre-occupational therapy major provides students with the necessary foundation for graduate studies, leading to careers in physical therapy. Courses for the major draw from kinesiology, biology, mathematics, chemistry, psychology, art and various other disciplines.

This degree allows students to choose courses that specifically address future career goals. In consultation with the program director, students choose emphasis courses carefully, according to the catalog of the program they wish to enter for a master's or doctoral degree.
Career Opportunities
Students must obtain a master's or doctoral degree in order to practice in the field of physical therapy. The pre-occupational therapy major provides basic pre-professional preparation for obtaining these degrees.
