Dial-Up Instructions - Windows XP

To Set Up Dial-Up with Windows XP:

1. Click the Start button and select Settings and then Network Connections.

2. Double click on New Connection Wizard and click Next.

3. Select Connect to the Internet and click Next.

4. Select Setup my connection manually and click Next.

5. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next.

6. Give your dial-up connection a name (e.g. FPU Internet) and click Next.

7. Enter the phone number: 453-2301. Click Next.

8. Select Create this connection for anyone's use. Click Next.

9. Enter your user name and password (contact information technology services at 559-453-2254 if you are unsure what these are) and click Next.

10. Make sure that Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop is selected and click Finish.
