Phone Mail Instructions/Features

Q: How do I receive my voice messages from another phone?
A: While on campus dial extension 6000 and follow the instructions provided.
From off campus dial 453-5577 and follow the instructions provided.

Q: No one can call my phone. (They get a busy signal or are transferred to voice mail.) Phone shows that it is on DND.
A: Dial ##91. Your phone is on DND (Do Not Disturb).

Q: No one can call my phone. (They get a busy signal or are transferred to the FPU operator.)
A: Dial ##5. Your phone is on DND (Do Not Disturb).

Hold:

Press the HOLD button to put your caller on hold.
Pick up the handset and press the flashing line key to retrieve your call.

Transfer:

During a call, select XFER (transfer) in the display, dial the extension number, announce the caller, and hang up.

Connect:

Press CONNECT to get back to original caller when TRANSFER is not received.

Forwarding:

  • Press a line key to obtain a dial tone.
  • Dial: # 91 + the extension number where you want your calls forwarded.
  • Hang up by pressing your line key again.
  • Your line key will flicker while your phone is forwarded.

Cancel Forwarding:

  • Press a line key to obtain a dial tone.
  • Dial : ##91
  • Hang up by pressing your line key again.

Station Speed Dial:

  • Press the PROGRAM key.
  • Select CHANGE DESTINATION.
  • Scroll (>) and select STATION SPEED DIAL.
  • At ENTER INDEX, key in the code you want to use (00 - 29).
  • At ENTER NEW NUMBER, dial the extension or outside number you want to program.
  • Select SAVE.
  • Select EXIT or select NEXT ENTRY to program another number.

Dialing a Station Speed Number:

Press a line key to obtain a dial tone.
Dial: # 3 + the speed dial code you assigned to the number.

Last Number Redial:

Press a line key to obtain a dial tone.
Your display will read LAST NUMBER REDIAL?
Press the CHECKMARK key to dial the number.

Phone Mail Information Sheet

Your mailbox profile:

  • Personal greetings: 3
  • Mailbox storage capacity: 10 messages
  • Maximum message length: 3 minutes, 20 seconds
  • Message retention: indefinite
  • Default password: 1111

Phone mail access numbers:

  • Direct access 6000 - internal
  • Local access (559) 453-xxxx

To Set Up Your Mailbox

Change your password

  1. press 9 for mailbox options
  2. press 3 for password

Record your name

  1. press 8 for answering options
  2. press 4 for record name

Record your greeting

  1. press 8 for answering options
  2. press 1 for personal greeting

The PHML key will dial into phone mail only. It will not dial your password.
Your PHML key will be lit solid to indicate messages in your mailbox.
