FPU flute/brass concert inspires, amuses

Fun and inspiration share the stage at the next concert by Pacific Brass and Flautas Pacifica concert at Fresno Pacific University.

The performance begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 24 in the McDonald Hall Atrium on the university campus. Admission is free.

The program will include “Pavan,” by William Byrd; “Intermezzo,” from Goyescas by Granados; and “Go Tell it on the Mountain” as well as “A Mighty Fortress is Our God” and Anderson’s “Bugler’s Holiday.” Flautas Pacifica and Pacific Brass are both student ensembles. Conducted by Janette Erickson, Flautas Pacifica is a flute/woodwind choir. Pacific Brass features a variety of brass instruments and is conducted by Jennie Blomster.
