MENTORING/ADVISING

  • All students at FPU are assigned a faculty mentor to guide them through the academic program.  Your mentor wants to work with you and help you reach your goals.  If you have questions about your program and are unable to contact your mentor, please see the Associate Dean of Mentoring & Retention for assistance.

SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS

  • Academic Probation: Undergraduate students whose cumulative grade-point average falls below 2.0 or who earn a grade-point average below 2.0 or above 1.0 in any given term on work taken at FPU will be placed on academic probation.
  • Academic Disqualification: Undergraduate students will be academically disqualified from attendance if their work at FPU reflects either of the following:
  •      1.      A GPA of 1.0 or less in any term
  •      2.      A GPA below 2.0 for two consecutive terms
  • Students have an opportunity to appeal the disqualification.  Contact the Associate Dean of Mentoring & Retention.

WITHDRAWAL/HIATUS

  • A withdrawal is complete removal from enrollment at the university. Students may withdraw through the 10th week of the semester. A hiatus is a break from the university for one fall or spring semester. All students seeking withdrawal or hiatus must meet with the Associate Dean of Mentoring & Retention.
