Missions

Opportunities for global missions offer students experiences like no other. From FPU's own spring break mission to short-term summer missions through outside organizations, students learn to serve Christ across cultures.

Peace and Justice Issues Spring Break
Traveling south to the border, visiting communities on both sides, students will consider peace and justice issues on such difficult topics as humanitarianism, economics, poverty, the environment and AIDS awareness.

Mennonite Brethren Mission and Services (MBMS) International
Students experience life-transforming training, a deep connection with long-term missionaries and direct cross-cultural service through a 6-week summer mission trip. Each year three teams travel to three countries and serve as servants to church planting missionaries.

Students International
In Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Guatemala, Students International does long-term, on-going community development. Students are invited to work alongside staff in short-term outreaches to encounter God, share the Good News, and disciple and serve others in poor communities in these countries. Each ministry site has a different occupational focus, and students are encouraged to serve in an area that correlates with their career or academic interests: agribusiness, art, construction, education, health care, social work, sports and technology.
