Intercultural Studies - Mission/Service Emphasis

The missions/service emphasis builds on core concepts of the intercultural studies major and prepares students for work and service throughout the world.

Political Science

Effective and just politics demand ethical and informed citizens and political leaders. The political science major provides students with an increased understanding of the political world-locally, nationally and outside of the United Sates. This major equips students to engage in community organizations, electoral politics and movements on behalf of specific policies.

Business Administration Minor

The business administration minor is designed for students who seek a basic exposure to and understanding of business. The program serves as an introduction to business-related career fields and practices.

Distinctive Features

Courses in the business administration minor focus on organizational theory and behavior, economics, accounting and marketing, and allow each student to select additional courses from any of the business administration emphases to meet his/her interests and needs.

Kinesiology

Kinesiology, as a scientific field, examines the anatomy and mechanics of the body's movement. This major offers students preparation for a wide host of career and training options.

The kinesiology major offers three emphases:

Environmental Science

The environmental science major exists to provide tools for scientific observation and analysis of the environment. Using an interdisciplinary approach to scientific study, the major compliments studies of biology and chemistry with theological, philosophical, and legal perspectives on the environment.

Environmental Studies

The environmental studies major serves as a bridge between the natural sciences, social sciences, the humanities and biblical and religious studies. It continually seeks to create a conversation between disciplines related to natural history, human history and religious values.

Business Administration - Marketing

Effective marketing can propel a business into perpetual growth, while ineffective marketing can create stagnancy. The bachelor of arts in business administration with an emphasis in marketing provides graduates with training in strategic, responsible and effective marketing.

Business Administration

The bachelor of arts in business administration provides students with the skills required by a variety of careers in business, including nonprofit organizations working in areas of church-related ministry. Pre-Law

The pre-law/criminal justice major equips prospective lawyers or criminal justice personnel to be knowledgeable about the legal and criminal justice systems in the United States. It provides an understanding of alternative approaches to conflict resolution and the pursuit of justice and prepares graduates to pursue value-based careers in a law-related fields.

Political Science Minor

The political science minor introduces students to the political world, providing an increased understanding of political activities both inside and outside of the United States. The minor trains students to become active participants in community organizations, electoral politics and movements on behalf of specific policies.
