Fiddler on the Roof comes to FPU

"Fiddler on the Roof," the classic musical about Tevye, Golde, their family, friends and folkways, comes to Fresno Pacific University Friday and Saturday, March 23, 24 and 30, 31.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Special Events Center. The campus is located at 1717 S. Chestnut Ave., south of the Butler intersection.

Admission is $10 for general audiences, $7 for senior citizens and students. For tickets, call 559-453-2267 or go to the website at fresno.edu/performingarts.

The 10th Annual International Flute Choir Festival takes place Friday and Saturday, February 16-17, 2007, in Ashley Auditorium at Fresno Pacific University, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave., south of the Butler intersection.

Patmos continues Pacific Artist Series at Fresno Pacific University

Music with a Moldovan flavor is next on the list for the Pacific Artist Series at Fresno Pacific University.

Patmos will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2005, in the McDonald Hall Atrium on the campus, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave, south of the Butler-Chestnut intersection.

This chamber-style instrumental ensemble from Moldova was formed in 1992 to minister around the world through music. The group has performed in Europe, Canada, the United States and at the Feast of the Tabernacles in Jerusalem.

Fresno Pacific University faculty participates in art show

The human condition of pain, struggle and hope is the theme of an upcoming art exhibit featuring a Fresno Pacific University faculty member.

Robin Dolarian, art faculty, will show his work February 1-24 at Gallery 25, 1526 Fulton St. “Innards” is a dual exhibit with Barbara Beasley-Eggbrouwer.

Dolarian’s mixed media compositions chronicle his experiences on hemodialysis and his eventual kidney transplant. The large works are mostly brightly colored and feature found objects, simple exaggerated shapes and basic three-dimensional illusion.
