Two students win awards for science research

Two FPU students won awards in a research poster competition at the California Weed Science Society.

Dee Ann Kroeker won first place for her poster, Development of a Method to Evaluate Mortality of Black Mustard (Brassica nigra) Seeds Exposed to Volatile Compounds from Composted Greenwaste. Kate Hernandez took third place for A Field Trial to Evaluate Deleterious Effects of Composted Municipal Greenwaste and Soil Solarization on Black Mustard Seeds.

The annual Leadership Awards ceremony took place April 26 in the AIMS Hall Atrium on the main campus. Students in the traditional undergraduate program were honored in 16 categories. The Sunbird Award, for best exemplifyingthe Fresno Pacific Idea went to David Hawes, a junior communications major from Mariposa. Here, Dean of Students Randy Worden addresses the group over dessert.

MB Biblical Seminary presents scholarships, awards and institutes Dean's List

MB Biblical Seminary’s Fresno campus recently honored sixteen students with scholarships and awards for the 2006-2007 academic year. In addition twelve students earned their place on the Seminary’s first Academic Dean’s List.

FPU athletes earn regional, national honors for performance on the field and in the classroom

Sunbirds were no strangers to the winner’s circle in 2000-2001, as a record 16 Fresno Pacific University athletes earned 31 awards from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC).
