The kinesiology major offers three emphases:

Environmental Science

The environmental science major exists to provide tools for scientific observation and analysis of the environment. Using an interdisciplinary approach to scientific study, the major compliments studies of biology and chemistry with theological, philosophical, and legal perspectives on the environment.

Environmental Studies

The environmental studies major serves as a bridge between the natural sciences, social sciences, the humanities and biblical and religious studies. It continually seeks to create a conversation between disciplines related to natural history, human history and religious values.

Business Administration - Marketing

Effective marketing can propel a business into perpetual growth, while ineffective marketing can create stagnancy. The bachelor of arts in business administration with an emphasis in marketing provides graduates with training in strategic, responsible and effective marketing.

Business Administration

Social Science Secondary Teaching

The social science secondary teaching major equips prospective teachers with a profound knowledge about history and social sciences and an understanding of contemporary approaches to teaching them. The program is interdisciplinary in approach, global and multi-cultural in perspective, and informed by a Christian worldview.

Philosophy

Philosophy is defined as the pursuit of wisdom through logical investigations of reality, knowledge and morality. The study of philosophy is commonly understood to be a critical element of a liberal arts education, helping students develop the skills necessary to articulate self-reflection and analysis.

Communication

The communication major approaches various topics from a broad, liberal arts perspective that includes the historical, philosophical, and theoretical roots of communication. Each course provides foundational knowledge necessary for successful work and service in the public, private and religious sectors, as well as in future graduate studies.

English

The English major allows students to understand many of the significant experiences and issues of human existence as they are expressed in literature. Through this major, graduates learn to communicate thoughts and insights through effective writing and speech.

The English major provides the opportunity for students to gain experience across many areas, including literature, composition, creative writing, linguistics, media studies and theater.

Music

The music major provides students with preparation for life-long appreciation of and participation in a rich variety of musical forms of expression. The major emphasizes performance and combines theory with practical participation in a variety of musical activities.
