Biology

Biology at Fresno Pacific University ranges from the biochemical analysis of cells to the study of global ecosystems. It happens on campus in the teaching and research laboratories of AIMS Hall, it extends to the local community as part of internships in agriculture and medicine and it journeys to the mountains, coasts and deserts of California during field studies. The biology program prepares students for the rigorous intellectual challenges of careers as diverse as medicine, teaching and scientific research.

Art - Studio Art Emphasis

The studio art emphasis exposes students to the contemporary practice, visual culture theory and historical perspectives for the visual arts. Students in the art studio emphasis are exposed to a wide range of media and develop the critical and conceptual skills needed to realize a personal artistic vision. Students will learn requirements of a professional career and be guided in the building of a professional artistic portfolio.

Art - Graphic Arts Emphasis

The graphic arts emphasis prepares art major students for further study in either graphic arts or graphic design. Both of these fields are increasingly more popular and plentiful in today's computer savvy society. Students who choose the graphic arts emphasis, take basic and advanced graphic arts courses and explore the field of graphic art, its technologies and uses.

Art - Art Administration Emphasis

With an increase in the number of performing and visual arts facilities, arts councils and art advocacy groups, there is a growing need for individuals with both artistic and business skills to work in these organizations. Seeking to fill this need, the emphasis in art administration prepares students for graduate study or entry level administrative work with organizations such as art galleries and museums, arts councils, symphony orchestras, as well as opera, theater and dance companies.

Liberal Studies - Intercultural/International Studies Concentration

This concentration requires an international travel/study experience through CCCU, BCA or FPU. All or some of the course requirements listed below may be fulfilled as part of the travel/study experience. Credit is arranged through the options available within the program chosen by the student.
