Mark Baker

Seminary grad and prof combine for book

The desire to tell people what it means to fully experience God’s grace and the freedom of the Gospel led to a book by a professor and student.

Mark D. Baker, Ph. D., associate professor of mission and theology at Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary, and his student, Kefalew Dinsa Eticha (seminary ’06) wrote Freedom Gospel (Addis Ababa: Baranna, 2011). The book is Baker’s and Eticha’s adaptation of Religious No More: Building Communitites of Grace and Freedom (InterVarsity Press, 1999), which Baker published based on his doctoral dissertation.

MB Biblical Seminary Author Releases Second Book in Spanish

On May 27th, 2005, six years after the release of Mark D. Baker's book Religious No More: Building Communities of Grace and Freedom, a Spanish revision entitled !Basta de religion!: como construer comunidades de gracia y libertad is now in print.

During ten years serving as missionaries in Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras, Mark and his wife Lynn developed a special relationship with Amor Fe y Vida, a church in a squatter's community. Through conversation and questions during a study of Galations, the idea for a book was born.
