Seminary Celebration Dinner (video link)

Some 76 supporters of Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary, including students, faculty, staff and friends, gathered in BC Lounge September 23 for the Seminary Celebration Dinner. 

Lynn Jost, Ph.D., seminary dean and vice president of FPU, gave an update on enrollment; Cory Seibel, Ph.D., assistant professor, sang and played the piano and students Jennifer Lerma and Trent Voth spoke on the effect the seminary has had on their lives. MB Biblical Seminary has campuses located in Fresno, CA; Langley, BC; and Winnipeg, MB. Now we are excited to announce the August launch of Degree from a Distance, a Master of Arts program for Midwestern students, based out of the Fresno, CA campus.

Kelowna Unlocks John's Gospel

For six weeks this summer MB Biblical Seminary and Columbia Bible College joined together with two churches, Willow Park Church and Kelowna Gospel Fellowship, to offer Unlocking the Riches of John’s Gospel, a credit course taught by MB Biblical Seminary professor Raymond Bystrom. This was the first time the two institutions had partnered with churches to offer a course.

The week-long ICOMB (International Committee of Mennonite Brethren) Mennonite Brethren Global Higher Education Consultation Shaping Mennonite Higher Education for the 21st Century, held on the campuses of MB Biblical Seminary and Fresno Pacific University, concluded on Friday, June 8 with a celebratory dinner.

A historic event is coming to the campuses of MB Biblical Seminary and Fresno Pacific University June 4-10, 2007. For the first time, representatives of Mennonite Brethren higher education institutions from around the globe will gather for a consultation.

Ministry Quest fall retreats a success

MB Biblical Seminary’s Ministry Quest program recently completed its annual schedule of fall retreats with 36 students from the US and Canada participating in one of three six-day events on the Fresno campus in August, September and October. The fall retreats are part of the first stage of the one-year Ministry Quest program.
