Ministry Forum helps make sense of the blur

Life moves fast and so does ministry. FPU’s 2011 Central Valley Ministry Forum looks at how pastors, lay leaders, members of faith-based organizations—anyone who wants to grow in Christian leadership—can not just survive but thrive.

“Ministry in a Hyperchange World: Staying Focused When Everything is a Blur” takes place Thursday, February 17, in the Special Events Center on the main university campus, on Winery south of the intersection with Butler Avenue. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. and the last session is scheduled to end at 2:30 p.m.

Due to a low response rate, our Ministry Forum event has been cancelled. However, we are grateful to Butler Church for partnering with us to offer A Day with Shane Hipps. This more intimate experience will be held in the Butler Church sanctuary on the same day, February 21, during the same time, 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The ticket price will be the same as the Ministry Forum, and will still include a coffee break with fruit and sweet rolls and a lunch.

Bakke--a pastor, teacher and author--talked about getting beyond that syndrome as featured speaker for the 2009 Central Valley Ministry Forum February 26.
