FPU spring commencement sets records

Commencement usually takes a backseat to athletics when it comes to statistics, but several records were set May 4.

  • 7,000 family, friends and loved ones in the audience at the two ceremonies
  • 7,500 bottles of water distributed by FPU staff
  • 5,000 complimentary paper fans waving in California’s Central Valley sun

And, most important:

FPU expects record 3,700 students--new freshman capped, transfers, DC and grad open (video link)

The focus on making strong academics affordable for all qualified students continues to pay off for FPU and its students.

National title hopes fall short in first season loss

The best men’s soccer season in Fresno Pacific University history went undefeated all the way to the national finals as the Sunbirds finished first runner-up in the National Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (NAIA).

The University of Rio Grande (Ohio), won the November 25 match 1-0. The tournament took place in Olathe, Kansas.
